Berna was created in 1986 for Antonangeli: a simple folded sheet of metal, an essential origami in which the shape is born from a single gesture and light becomes matter.
Slits are cut into the sheet metal to accommodate colored PMMI discs. Thanks to its optical properties, PMMI captures and diffuses the light passing through it, transforming the emission into a soft, controlled presence that illuminates the wall without invading it.
Berna is a lamp that works by subtraction: few elements, no complacency, a balance between constructive rigor and perceptive quality. An object born to last, because it is built on a clear idea.
