Vanità & Casa

Booth ISH – Vanità & Casa was born in 2025 as an art direction project to showcase a brand that focuses on the relationship between design, innovation, and material presence. The goal was not simply to showcase a collection, but to build a coherent, recognizable space capable of transforming the brand's technologies into a comprehensible experience.

The stand unfolds as a sober and restrained architecture, based on a rigorous modular layout and an almost monolithic appearance. In this dark, compact, and restrained setting, the light from the products acquires precision, emerging with greater intensity and establishing an immediate visual hierarchy.

In collaboration with EXPO Allestimenti, a canvas finishing system was adopted, characterized by a gradient that rises from a solid black base to a lighter tone at the top. This choice is not only visually appealing, but also constructive: it modifies the installation system, reduces the amount of wood waste, and helps reduce the overall environmental impact.

At the heart of the project, a "technological island" rotated 45 degrees organizes the stand's internal narrative. This element is not just a distribution hub, but the point where innovation is explained, displayed, and made tangible. Technology, here, isn't treated as a special effect: it's content to be organized, clarified, and presented to visitors in an accessible format.

Strategy

The project's strategy is to transform the stand into a distinctive space, capable of combining display, orientation, and brand storytelling. The rigorous layout, compact architecture, and almost unified material language create a coherent backdrop within which the products can emerge without being distracted.

The central island introduces a precise interpretation: not simply an information point, but a narrative hub that helps visitors understand the brand's technological logic. Thus, the space goes beyond simply displaying objects to organize a reading experience.

Design

The project works by subtraction. The external envelope presents itself as a dark, clean, almost abstract volume, capable of lending continuity to the whole and focusing attention on the light, the products, and the depth of the interior views. The openings punctuate the perimeter with a measured rhythm and transform each view into a scene.

Inside, the rotation of the central island breaks the rigidity of the orthogonal layout and introduces a controlled tension, useful for both spatial distribution and perception. The contrast between opaque surfaces, luminous highlights, and product reflections creates a minimalist, contemporary, almost museum-like atmosphere, where each element is brought to the fore.

Results

The stand gives Vanità & Casa a strong, uncluttered, and instantly recognizable image, consistent with a positioning that connects design and innovation. The display showcases the products without overwhelming the space, creating an environment that welcomes, orients, and tells a story.

The project also produces an important methodological result: it demonstrates how a seemingly simple formal choice can impact perceptual quality, clarity of display, and, at the same time, reduce the material impact of the installation. It is in this balance between image, function, and responsibility that the stand finds its true meaning.
