The interior design project for the Terumo Neuro Milan Branch, developed in collaboration with architect Davide Cumini and Habitat Ufficio, translates the MicroVention group's values: precision, care, and personal attention. Operational offices, training areas, and reception areas are structured in a fluid layout, where green strips act as backdrops, regulating circulation and providing visual protection without blocking the view. Thanks to this proposal, Habitat Ufficio won the contract for the new Italian headquarters.

Biophilic design is the underlying theme of the entire project: planted walls, large planters integrated into the furnishings, filtered natural light, and wooden surfaces contribute to improving comfort, concentration, and the perceived quality of the space. Workspaces are organized in open spaces interspersed with breakout areas and glass-enclosed meeting rooms, to foster both collaboration and the necessary privacy.

The brand's identity is subtly reflected in the interiors: the logo at the entrance, the motivational graphics on the walls, and the blue accents recall the Terumo world without turning the office into an advertising showcase. In the restrooms, Vanità & Casa mirrors interact with minimalist sinks and textured finishes, bringing the same luminous care and attention to well-being that characterize the main spaces to these areas. The space thus becomes the Italian face of the company: a place of representation and daily work, where people move naturally between moments of concentration, informal exchange, and training.

The current state of the art presented itself as a vast blank canvas: a neutral open space requiring complete redesign. The construction documentation recounts the transition from this indistinct volume to a system of defined spaces, constructed using a dry construction method. This construction approach allowed us to organize the spaces within a short timeframe, meeting the client's deadlines and maintaining control over the execution quality of every detail.

Strategy

Reduce the visual noise of the whirlpool: push the technology back and let the form define the experience. Build a coherent and recognizable family, capable of crossing different typologies without changing tone or losing its identity.

Design

A continuous edge as a signature, wide radii and connections that guide body and light. Controlled proportions, monolithic yet delicate surfaces, designed to inhabit very different contexts. The satin finish of the PMMA—almost solid surface—elevates touch and perception, remaining within the confines of efficient industrial production.

Results

A comprehensive series, from 170x70 cm to corner, asymmetrical, and freestanding versions, with a stable identity. A premium feel at a reasonable price, and a catalog longevity that has spanned brand transitions, including Tresse, without losing its recognizability.
